Meet Dr. Edward G. Johnson, DMD

Dr. Edward Johnson has a reputation for being a highly skilled, trustworthy cosmetic dentist in Somerset County . For over 20 years, he’s helped thousands of people achieve the smiles they’ve always wanted. Recognizing his skill and accomplishments, the Consumer Research Council of America named Dr. Johnson one of America ’s Top Cosmetic Dentists for seven consecutive years.
After college at Cornell University in Ithaca , New York , Dr. Johnson was awarded the Health Professions Scholarship. He then attended Fairleigh Dickinson University School of Dental Medicine in Hackensack , New Jersey , where he received a Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) Degree in 1978.
As a general dentist, he has concentrated on the principles of cosmetic dentistry. He has taken special training at the world-renowned Rosenthal Institute of Aesthetic Dentistry in New York City .
To stay current with the latest trends in cosmetic dentistry and the newest technologies, Dr. Johnson attends seminars hosted by Aesthetic Advantage, Inc. He also belongs to the Morris Seminars and Paragon Study Clubs.
An Established Reputation
Outside the office, Dr. Johnson is an active member of the community, as demonstrated by his development of the unique Children’s Dental Health Month program. This interactive demonstration stresses the importance of early prevention for optimum dental health.
Dr. Johnson is also a sports enthusiast. In 1993 he founded the Hunterdon Hoosiers AAU Girls Basketball program. Dr. Johnson was inducted into the Bernards High School Athletic Hall of Fame in 1994. He also enjoys cycling and competing in triathlons. He finished the Lake Placid Ironman competition in 2002.
Dr. Johnson’s greatest enjoyment is spending time with Debby, his wife of over 35 years, their three daughters: Katelin, Emily and Abigail, and his granddaughter, Anna.

Meet Dr. Katelin Johnson, DMD
|
Dr. Katelin Johnson graduated cum laude from Colgate University in May 2002 with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology. In August of that year, she began her dental career attending the New Jersey Dental School in Newark , New Jersey . She graduated in May 2006, serving as Student President of the New Jersey Dental Association and being recognized with induction into the Prosthodontic Honor Society. Dr. Katelin was accepted into the prestigious dental residency program at Morristown Memorial Hospital in July 2006.
Dr. Katelin has been an active member of the dental community promoting Childrens’ Dental Health Month and Give Kids a Smile. For several years she has visited numerous local and inner city schools performing interactive demonstrations emphasizing prevention and overall dental health.
Dr. Katelin’s Halloween Candy Buy Back program is entering its 4th year and is a community favorite! In order to keep the candy away from the children’s teeth and give our troops some sweet Halloween treats, Dr. Katelin buys back the children’s extra Halloween candy and ships it to our soldiers overseas. Everybody wins!
Dr. Katelin Johnson was an All-State athlete at Voorhees High School where she excelled in field hockey and basketball. She was inducted into the Voorhees High School Athletic Hall of Fame in 2008. In college she was honored as a Patriot League Academic All-Star in field hockey.
In her spare time, Dr. Katelin Johnson enjoys running, competing in triathlons and spending time with her husband, Bill and daughter, Anna.
